Meet The Chef
At the age of 14, Richard Hammons started in the industry working for a friends family who owned two Chinese restaurants in Venice, Fl. This position showed him the ropes with front of house service and basic prep. He worked for several restaurants and managed coffee shops in high school and into his early 20's.
In 2004 Chef Rich started culinary school at The Art Institute of Phoenix. While in school he began working at "4 star, 5 diamond" Four Seasons Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ. This experience pushed him to learn as quickly as possible and helped him to become the highest awarded student upon graduation, finishing with Highest Honors, Best Culinarian, and Best Portfolio.
Chef Rich went on to "5 star, 5 diamond" Four Seasons in Jackson Hole, WY where he learned the art of Sushi and pushed his skill level in all areas of the hotel.
In 2010 Chef Rich opened the "4 star, 5 Diamond" Four Seasons Hotel in Denver, CO as the Head Sushi Chef.
After leaving the Four Seasons, Chef Rich worked his way up in high end Sushi, Progressive American Restaurants, and Catering Companies, Including "4 star, 5 Diamond" Amangani hotel as the Executive Sous Chef.
All of this hard work and determination landed him the position as Executive Chef of a popular new restaurant in Jackson Hole called Gather.
After leaving Gather, Chef Rich went on a bit of a sabbatical until he opened his company "Five Star To You" in 2016 because he wanted to be able to cook for the love of food again.
Five Star To You has been growing rapidly and has become one of the Premier Personal Chef Businesses in Colorado.
