American / Holiday

New American cuisine is a mash up of cultural influences. Food varies so much from coast to coast of the United States that it can be very fun to recreate peoples favorite foods in an elevated form. I grew up in Southern California and moved to Florida when I was ten. Then proceeded to hop around to several states in between, which showed me the amazing variety of food our country has to offer.

I miss the days of my Grandmother cooking Holiday food. The aromas of fall spice, roasted meats, and pastries will always get me going. These days I love the holiday season because I get to reminisce of the good old days while I cook modern, upscale renditions of holiday classics.
